NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Park has been announced as the 2013 winner of Out and About with Kids magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award for ‘Best Australian Family Holiday Park’.
The magazine’s annual awards aim to uncover the best places in the world for families to stay, with readers voting in each of the five categories.
Readers voted Treasure Island as the country’s best family holiday park due to its Gold Coast location and proximity to beaches, rainforest and theme parks, as well as its facilities, which include three resort pools, kids club, mini golf and giant jumping pillow.
ATPM, who manages the park on behalf of NRMA, are overjoyed with the win.
“The Gold Coast is the ideal holiday destination for many families and Treasure Island offers it all – it sits among beaches, the hinterland and of course the famous theme parks. Combine that with fantastic accommodation, facilities and hospitality and it’s pretty hard to beat,” said Operations and Development Manager Andrew Chapman.
“We always strive to offer the best possible experiences for our guests and it is wonderful that they have voted us to the top spot. We look forward to continuing to provide holiday memories and welcoming all guests, new and old, to our award-winning park.”
NRMA Holiday Parks Commercial Manager David Birch said he was delighted that the park is so highly valued by Australian families.
Treasure Island was also named as a finalist in the Best Australian Family Resort category.
The popular park is also ranked number one in its TripAdvisor category, with an average rating of 4.5 stars.
