- Treasure Island named QLD's Number One family friendly Holiday Park
20 September 2011Treasure Island Holiday Park is celebrating the announcement that they have ranked Number 1 in family-friendly holiday parks in QLD.
The Park was recognised in the annual 'Holiday with Kids' travel magazine awards, voted by the national magazine's readership of over 600,000 parents, 61,000 online members and customers of Club Med and TakeABreak.com.au.

at the award ceremony - Treasure Island sees red for a day
06 October 2009The dust storm that smothered Sydney in a bright red blanket of haze, moved north and arrived at Treasure Island on the 23rd September 09, creating hazy conditions across the park and the entire Gold Coast.
As can be seen by the images below, guests felt like they were amidst a desert dust storm. The last dust storm to hit the Gold Coast occurred over 70 years ago, so this is one sight that many staff and guests may never see again.
The day after was like nothing had ever happened. The skies were clear, Treasure Island was back to its sensational self and all that was left was a memory for the ages and these amazing photos (and maybe the odd little spec of dust!).
