Treasure Island receives a Bronze Gumnut Award
The Gumnut Awards Program is an exciting environmental initiative from the Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) which offers a progressive rating scheme for CCIA's holiday and tourist park members. For a park to achieve a Bronze Gumnut Award, their business must satisfy benchmark criteria from each of the 10 categories listed below.

4. Energy Efficiency
5. Air and Noise Pollution
6. Biodiversity Conservation
7. Economics
8. Staff
9. Local Community
10. Safety and Emergency Response Planning
The program aims to protect and reflect the uniqueness of the Australian environment and culture. Participation in the program benefits not just the business and park operators, it benefits everyone involved; park visitors, holidaymakers, customers, residents, staff, the community and the environment will all be winners.
Treasure Island finalist in the QLD Tourism Awards
We are excited to be named Finalists in the Queensland Tourism Awards (Standard Accommodation category), which were held on 4th November. The QLD Tourism Awards are recognised as the industry's largest and most prestigious event. They acknowledge and celebrate the tourism operators in QLD that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and that have made a significant contribution to the State's tourism industry.

Treasure Island Holiday Park is celebrating the announcement that they have ranked Number 1 in family-friendly holiday parks in QLD.
The Park was recognised in the annual 'Holidays with Kids' travel magazine awards, voted by the national magazine's readership of over 600,000 parents, 61,000 online members and customers of Club Med and TakeABreak.com.au.
Categories included activities for kids, staff hospitality, accommodation, location, safety and family fun.
Treasure Island Holiday Park Manager, Brendan Brady, said this award acknowledges the efforts of our whole team. Everyone on staff has played a role in making this park the best in the State and I couldn’t be prouder.
"Activities for the kids is an important consideration when it comes to choosing a family-friendly holiday park, along with standard of accommodation and services, and overall value for money", said Mr Brady.
“Location is a big factor too,” he added, “and being only 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise, a kilometre from the Broadwater and tucked in between all the major theme parks means families who stay at Treasure Island are perfectly positioned to take advantage of everything the Gold Coast has to offer".

Treasure Island holiday Park has once again been awarded 2nd place in the annual Holidays with Kids' Top 10 Holiday Park awards. The annual awards were recently announced and Treasure Island followed up last year's awards by maintaining their position.
Dianne Day, General Manager of NRMA Holiday Parks said "We are unashamedly focused on providing the best family holiday experience possible in everything we do from our facilities and fun-filled guest activities, warm and friendly service, and of course, fantastic value for money."
The awards are decided by readers and online members of "Holidays with Kids" magazine, who voted for Treasure Island based on a range of categories including activities and facilities for kids, standard of accommodation, fun for the entire family, and much more.

Judges Commendation - State Tourism Awards

Treasure Island Holiday Park is celebrating after being awarded with a judges commendation for the ‘Best Tourist and Caravan Park’ at the annual Queensland Tourism Awards on the Gold Coast on Friday, 13th November.
The awards honour the regions industry leaders through the acknowledgement of innovative business processes, business excellence and overall business success. The most comprehensive of its kind, the awards are open to any tourism company or organisation operating in Queensland.
“We are extremely proud to receive this honour and look forward to further building on our success as we showcase Treasure Island’s renowned family friendly accommodation and hospitality to guests,” said David Johnston, CEO of FreeSpirit Holiday Parks, a national management company contracted to manage the operations of Treasure Island Holiday Park on behalf of the owners, NRMA Motoring and Services.
